Not All Who Wander Are Lost
Mark Elliott
It’s not your fault I wound up like this
It was just my due to bare this restless soul
So I learned to walk and I haven’t stopped since
But I have never been alone
See that river I’ve been washed in
See that mountain I have crossed
See that big blue sky like a bird I did fly
Not all who wander are lost
Do not pity me for I am not poor
I am rich with all of the miles
And true happiness will be mine for sure
If you measure it in smiles
Repeat Chorus
When I finally reach my resting place
Well I pray that it’s in some wide open space
Repeat Chorus

“See that big blue sky like a bird I did fly. Not all who wander are lost.”
song story
This song was inspired by Mark and his friend Donna getting lost in the wilderness of Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina for four days in the early nineties. Mark has been "lost" in the wilderness all of his life, and he wouldn't have it any other way!
